About PushBlack

PushBlack aims to contribute to the liberation of Black people by dismantling the system of white supremacy. It works to address the lack of trust from Black communities in organizations doing civic engagement, economic empowerment, and abolition work at scale. PushBlack uses media to build trust and empower and inform the Black community in the United States. Its content centers on Black history and news, criminal justice, economic advancement, and other issues important to its audience of 9 million monthly readers. Through the power of narrative, PushBlack empowers its audience to take action that will have a lasting impact on the community. One example of this work is their highly successful Get-Out-The-Vote program.
