As Interim Director of Insights, Jenny Lah partners with Keseb’s leadership and team to conduct field research and produce actionable insights to equip funders and practitioners. Jenny is an independent consultant who has undertaken research and strategic foresight for philanthropies and non-profits for over a decade. She has worked across a range of governance issues, including international tax, sovereign debt, corporate influence in policy, data for development, gender equality policies, evidence-informed policy making, accountability approaches, and public sector performance management. She is also an advisor to the Trust, Accountability, and Inclusion Collaborative, a donor network.
Prior to consulting, she worked at the Gates Foundation on the Development Policy and Finance team. She managed the evidence-informed policy making portfolio supporting think tanks worldwide and the portfolio on development cooperation. She founded the gender data portfolio and supported its development and expansion to a variety of issues, including policy indicators.
She started her career at UN Women working on gender equality and global policy processes. She has also worked for Yale Law School’s China Center and the United States Treasury. Jenny has a Master’s in Public and International Affairs from Princeton University.
